R100

The R100 benchtop router can be used to singulate round or rectangular tab routed panels. A built in dust extraction plenum provides for a clean milling process. The tooling guide pins and T-slide block make it possible to route round and straight panels in a safe and secure manner.

Milling Aluminum Tab Routed Panels

On the optional universal guide pin blade set, the guide blades for straight routed patterns are available in .062' and .093" thick versions. Other sizes can be ground to exact specifications.

Changing router bits is made easy by the ability to bring the router collet up and down with a hand crank on the side of the machine. This also allows the router bit to be set at just the right height for singulating panels.

Tooling and board placement

For the universal guide pin blade set round panels are moved along the milling path by means of two pins on a slide block These are place in a three point spacing along the circumference of the routed section to assure that the milling operation will follow the routed channel in a safe and secure manner.

The standard tooling for the R100 is a round disk with guide pins. These can be adjusted for singulating straight or round panels by rotating the front guide pin on the disk to align straight or along a radious for round panels.

Optional Dust Extraction Vacuum

The R100 is designed with a built in dust extraction plenum to be connected to your in house dust extration system or to the optional dust extraction vaccum supplied by FKN Systek.

Some panels have features which allow the construction of tooling to let the PCB be rotated around a central point, thus making it easy to speed up the routing separation of these types of boards.
